This might be a stupid question
but then again I am full of them.
Anyway, does a shroud need to be round?
I was thinking that a shroud with a normal top profile coming down into a bigger boot shaped form at the bottom of the barrel could be good for stabilizing the gun due to lower centre of gravity while allowing more room for air and baffles compared to similar lengt round shrouds and without obscuring the sight picture.
I can think that the uneven pressure distribution inside the shroud could affect accuracy but I’m not to sure.
Any thought?
