Thanks guys I also have the 6.5 and it is definatly a sweet cartridge,.;)

Well, with the 1-10 barrel, im sure you can at least shoot the HEAVIER bullets in 25 cal. 80+ and up

I have a Tikka T3 in 6.5x55mm

Do you mean a Tikka T3 in 25-06 caliber?

I have a T3 Lite in 308. Great gun for the money. In general, Tikkas shoot well right out of the box. I upgraded the stock on mine; the synthetic stock was nice and light, but I wasn’t wild about it. I put a wood thumbhole stock on mine and I like that a lot better than the factory synthetic stock. The bluing has held u well; if you take care of it, it will stay nice.

Can’t help you on ammo, since I don’t have a 25-06. I suggest that you get a few different kinds and see what the gun likes. I have a buddy with a Cooper 25-06 and he likes Winchester xp2, but that’s a different gun, different barrel so it doesn’t mean much for your gun.

21 inches is a bit short for the 25-06, you won’t get full use from the extra powder in the -06 cartridge. But 21 inches is a great length for a hunting gun that you will pack around, so it might be a good trade-off depending on what you want to use it for.
