to vent or not to vent. that is the question
there seems to be some disagreement here about whether or not vented bushings decrease the noise of an Airforce rifle. my question is- do you think it helps and if so, do you get a further reduction by venting BOTH bushings. i vented the front bushing on my Talon SS with a Tony Tunes shroud and 18 inch barrel. should i vent the back one( the one near the chamber) as well? i honestly can tell that venting the front bushing did any good but maybe it did.

dollar did you vent the frame under the forearm. i shot my gun allot before venting the front bushing and frame and it made a noticeable difference to me.
and i would say no to venting the back bushing also.
Well I can tell you what most here will tell you, don’t vent the rear bushing. It allows crud to blow towards your face and the guns internals. I vented my front bushing at the same time I got my shroud, so I can’t really do a fair comparison.

Do not vent the rear bushing.
Unless you want all that lead dust contaminating your face and other stuff 😀
