Todays groups with two different alloys, enlighting
285 yards, tethered to 4000 PSI, I had fired 10 shots on a clean barrel before these two groups, so they are #11 thru #31 shots on a cleaning.
I shot the group on the left with the 25%Lyman#2 and 75% lead, then only doing a 3.5 MOA windage correction and a change to 40-1 alloy did the group high and right.
The velocity for the first grop was from 1109 to 1124 for the Lyman#2 and lead, for the 40-1 it was 1134 to 1145.

The group on the left is one of my all time best but I may have lost count and fired only 9, it does look like there is a couple of doubles or superimposed hits, hard to tell since we don’t have ejected cases.

Andy,
My barrel is 36 inches.
I would suspect that if I shoot a 5 sot group, shots one two and possibley three would be inside a group like you see in these pictures, but shots four and five would be dropping considerably.
But fortunately I have a really good way to find out 😛 .
I will go out and give it a try if the weather permits today.
Shooting at hunting ranges, at least hunting ranges for most of us, inside 50 yards, five shots will be inside the kill zone of a ground squirrel.
