Q:

Tony’s one piece top hat

hey my friends, Im getting to know the new top hat. Should I use an O Ring on the back of it? I see a lot of people using them on the older top hats but not much mention the one piece top hat.

Thanks again for all the info……

see post #2 of THIS thread… :winkn: 💡

Gee Lurker, just thought about what you said and what came to my mind was another spring in there to balance the valve out.

Staffy1,
My take on the old Oring trick is it works as a cushion to debounce the hammer/breech/valve combination therefore preventing stuttering release of extra air. The TT Hammer slap mod may do better but they work well together.

Guys what dose the o ring do??

I have the TTTH and have a oring behind it and with the large restrictor with benji domes in .25 , I get between 50-60 shots.I also have a heavy hammer spring. When I want to shoot the 43 gn eunjins I take the restrictor out and run it open with the oring on it and get them going at around 930fps for hunting coyotes.

For my CondorSS .22 cal., I have the smallest restrictor in the TTTH and a 3/8 X 1/4 1/16″ cross section o-ring behind it. Power wheel set to 4/0. I’m shooting the 18 gr. JSB’s sub 1/2″ at 50 yds at 940-920 fps. Shot string doubled in good shots when i put the o-ring on.
