Took apart the wrong bottle/valve
I have an extra SS tank, so I thought! “take it apart,see if you can improve it” Problem is ,I took the tank (laying in the corner, apart). My Condor had a tank screwed into it, so I assumed it was the high flow tank. I took the high flow tank apart, and don’t see any room for improvement? What next?

I will be having this super valve that Don G. (sharp) is building put into my .25 condor. I sent my Condor in for a rebuild and to have a 20 inch barrel added. Now I see all of this. Man oh man 115 ft lb with the Surefire 5 ring slugs. I will be giving Jerry a call to place an order for about 1000 5 ring slugs. lol Talk about versatility in a gun. Can you imagine the shot count when shooting the round ball at 600 fps..?

Your right Adam! I have always wanted a blodnob valve , never could get on the list. Sharp, is like me (he probably used his pound of cannibus, at an earlier age, and the memory suffers lol), It seems he did “try” to acknowledge blodnob.

Have you run any pressure dynamics and air flow characteristics tests on it? It looks like
you’ve attained demonstrable efficiencies in the design over the previous – let alone the
ability to restrict the output via the ‘jet’ inserts.
Based on your baseline chrono readings, are you seeing 15 – 20% fps increases (given
the chosen jet restricter)?
1/4 – 20 Allen head set screws. nice and simple.

unrestricted, it added about 125fps with no other changes to the gun. Allows 31gr kodiacs (.25cal) to be dialed up to supersonic levels (not good for accuracy though). have had it up to 115fpe with the Surefire 5ring slugs. Waiting on a good outdoor day to get some 50yard shooting in with it. Of course by using various restrictors it can be dialed back to shoot light pellets as low as 600fps and get tons of shots (haven’t counted yet). Perfect for suburban backyard shooting.
That looks good sharpshooter. Have you tested the 3 port over the chrono and how did It do compared to the old style?

here’s an idea that looks very promising……..
I just started working with an “old condor” valve, wanting a little more than the new hi-flow. Some pics of my one piece tophat/valve stem below. Built to accommodate “jets” as a means for major power adjustments. Seen the idea before (blodnob I think) and had to give it a go. Unrestricted, 1000+ fps w/ .25cal Kodiacs; .120 “jet” 800fps; .060 “jet” 620fps. Still some work to do but having the equivilant of three tanks in one and using the PW more as a “tuning aid” for consistency really is working well. Result looks to be that I can have a single tank/hammer setup and be able to shoot at power levels ranging from R-7 up to Howitzer.
Oh, did I mention the above numbers are only with a 2500psi fill………..much longer between fills for the big CF tank.

Sharp, this is an old style valve. I have fill issues, mostly fixed by Anthony’s hammer, but if it can be improved I might as well try it. My plain was to buy a new tank,and see what the difference was and mod this one. Now that I have it in pcs. can someone direct me in those steps. I have drill press and flexshaft machines , sanders, saws. I’ve been working with metal for 30 yrs.,just not in a typical machine shop setting.This is a .25 cal. that shot great, but I kinda got busy doing other things, and didn’t shoot for a while. A few wks ago I logged on here and got the bug again, had a few minutes ,and thought I’d take one of my two SS tanks apart and do the mods. described here, well! the rest is history. Thanks for any help.
