Took The Plunge**New Pics**
Between the weather and having nothing else to do,I decided to refinish my edgun stock.After struggling to get the paint stripped off my stock,I contacted Tachdriver for some pointers on how he did his.I hate working on gun stocks but I really like the wood look.I use the Birchwood gunstock refinishining kit and I am on my fourth coat of try oil finish which has to be applied by finger.Soory about the pics I took them with my camera phone because my brother has the camera.Not sure how many more coats I will apply before I call it quits.

That’s right you can get unpainted stock, as a matter of fact I have a few on order right now.
Well, guys, you can order from Tony the stock without pain at all or even without the handmade proseccing, directly from the machine for those who wants to make it for his hand. The price the same but I will have much less work 🙂 and you will have some fun 🙂
The scar came from my job(Fleet Mechanic).Never tried cathching any hogs.Gotta guy in my hunting club that loves it.
That’s a lot finer grain than I thought would be available on a basic hardwood stock! Makes a body wonder why Ed would paint over it. It took some cajones to take the finish off a $1550 Edgun and on a chance the wood would look that good! Makes it an easier decision for those who follow. That “Fiddle back” pattern makes me wonder if that is Maple.
How did you get that scar on your right wrist, just below your thumb? Did you know in Arkansas that’s a common defensive wound found on the wrists of hill billies from trying to have force-able congress with a hog?
I know you live in Georgia, and this is just between us rednecks…do you own a banjo?

Looks nice! Must take quite a bit of time to sand all the paint out of all those radius and groove areas.
