Took the Shorty to a FT match
I scored a 47/54, 48 points will tie with the two third place shooters. Are I happy about the results? Yes! The shots that were missed were my own doing, I knew that I would miss in several cases just because my hands were not steady. The 3-9×32 scope was not much of a handicap as I was able to range as well as others in the hunter division.
Air usage was impressive. I only filled once, and I felt that I could have pushed it all the way to the end with all 54 shots, starting with a 3000psi pressure. I was shooting at 20 FPE muzzle energy level (JSB Jumbo Express 14.35gr at 790 fps).
The .22 caliber (as opposed to the standard .177) was actually not much of a handicap, either. I clipped the KZ of the face plate twice without tripping the paddle, but the heavier pellet also made it easy to nail the far targets when many commented how their .177 pellets drifted.
The only real disadvantage was the attachment to the bipod. A long gun has a bit more distance between the shoulder and the bipod, yielding a more stable shooting position. My Shorty has a Versa-pod mount at the front, so the Trigger Stick bipod has to support the gun pretty much right in front of the trigger guard.
Off-hand shooting was, as you may suspect, a bit easier than with a long and heavy gun.
All-in-all, the result was pretty good, IMHO.

I think so. This one measures 14″, so it is probably the latest. WWAG said it is guaranteed authentic CZ!
