Top Hat grub screw?

I am looking for the size of the allen on the grub screws holding the top hat in place?

I don’t seem to have one that small (mom and dad blessed me big lol)

and I don’t want to strip such a small set screw

thanks all,

I fly helis and ducted fan jets along with rc cars and too many other stuff!

All of the micro tools I have and none weree the right size!

I called Air force and a woman helped me, but she only knew the set screw size and thread pitch, not the key size,

BTW if any one who reads this and has stripped one out, it’s a 1/8th in screw with a 440 thread she said.

Now to receive My Chronograph and do some testing.

If you peruse your local hobby shop, you should be able to find some really nice allen drivers. Mine are TiNi coated, and fit like a, uh, well, they fit like an allen wrench SHOULD! Get the Team Losi ones if you can find them.

To add to Dons comment. Make sure you VERY lightly tighten it to. The inside will dent very easily.

.050 would be what you are looking for. And yes, they will strip easily. make sure the hex in the screw is clean and that the wrench engages completely before twisting on it.

I was told there metric but I bought a minature hex set and the 1.3mm fits the grubs on mine. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=43315
