Top hat question ……
What is the advantage of a one piece top hat over a two piece top hat ?
Does this increase the power in any way ?

The only advantage is that it will not loosen or change in any way, people like them because they have had problems with the top hat grub screws etc. and the top hat loosening up or changing , while shooting.
I have always kept blue loctite( red tube the kind that does not have to be heated to loosen ) on the grub screws and had no problems with the screws coming loose, you just have to keep tract of them and reapply loctite every now and then so the grub screw will not come loose,
