Top hat settings for .22 cal. Kodiaks
I know. Every gun is different. But, I want to know what you are setting yours at. Yesterday i fiddled around with mine because i’ve been shooting C.P.’s and my gun does NOT seem to enjoy a 3K fill. I now have it set at .099 in anticipation of the Kodiaks hopefully arriving Wednesday. Suggestions please. T.I.A.

locktite blue, it is removable (read ajustable) if needed. the Red version is “permanent” and takes heating the parts applied to in order to remove or adjust.
OK, tomorrow is the day I will set my T.H. back to .060 and see what happens. I think I need to get some lock-tite. I need the “weak” one, right?
I can’t wait to do some side by side velocity comparisons. The Kodiaks should be here today.
Well on my particular gun the C.P.’s fit pretty snug too.
not that the Kodiacs are tight, no sore thumbs here, just that they seem to require “firm” pressure to seat in the barrel. I beleive this is one of the reasons they are so accurate.
I never thought of the C.P.’s as “loose” fitting? Are they loose compared to the Kodiaks? If so, I will definately be using my pell seat. I don’t care for a sore thumb.

Yes,your obsertation ís right,I have founded the same ,(” the heavier/tighter fitting (ie kodiacs)pellets shoot better by REDUCING the TH setting vs a lighter/looser fitting pellet. seems the weight of the pellet provides additional back pressure and lets the valve stay open longer at a lower setting”) and more, note that : more weight /tighter of the pellets more ar is gone when compared another light/looser fitting pellets.
