Top Hat – This looks mis-manufactured ?
This is the first top hat I have seen up close. To me it seems improperly machined. The inside should have not been reamed out at the end causing it to be weaker and it ended up dented on the side.

Oh yeah, the picture shows a very thin wall and it looks like that one is twisted / flatten as well. Looks like poor quality to me.

AirForce says we’ll send you a replacement that does not look like that.
The three I had show the thread run out on one side… The top hat can be turned down so the stem sticks out, that isn’t possible if there is a shoulder and the stem is too thin to create a recess.

That would not effect the gun at all.
The images that I have seen, like on Tony’s site, show a nice thick solid end with no threads showing. I guess that is what I was expecting.

It’s the thread running out the end I believe. The entire inside of the Condor top hat is threaded. It may have been really thin so the person who made it cleaned it up a little more than normal.
When it was threaded it could have run off center at the very end.
Looks a bit abused for new… 😕
That’s how it came in the box. Flatten is a better word. Very thin wall since it is cut out. I would expect the end to be the same wall thickness as the rest of the way down.

AirForce made it right and sent a new tank with perfect top hat. And they also paid for shipping the old one back.
