I have got in the practice of Googling anyone that appears as an “Expert” whatever on The History Channel, much less Discovery…
the firearms Expert on Pawn Stars is a total armchair “expert” at best
I have lost count of that assclowns errors
also note how the show constantly promotes this notion that firearms taken in by the shop need to be registered with the Feds unless they are pre 1898
1st the act of entering a firearm into the bound book is NOT Registration
2nd, it’s pre January 1st 1899
anyways the show is 98% fantasy
as I have noted before some of their experts are not even located in Nevada…try New England

Don’t get me wrong, “Picking” is a worthwhile vocation but sure as heck not at the chickenshit margins & volume the Nosepickers operate at

these people are either extremely specialized in just one shooting game or are just simply Marginal shots, that’s if they are actually shooters and not simply actors as that is what History & Discovery people these shows with…Actors

EVERYONE of the “interns” on Zahi Hiwass’ “Chasing Mummies” serial were paid actors, not a one of them had any credentials to be where they were nor had one even attended the schools or programs claimed…it was pure scripted fantasy & much the same is true of Top Shot

what bothers me is that while quite a few get it, most viewers don’t and assume that Reality TV is actual reality
whether it’s a kindly Vegas pawnbroker giving his customers the best bang for their treasures or the fairy tale of a couple fairies in a Van making a living on 20% margins before expenses

btw guys…1000 yard shots with a properly set up .50BMG rifle are something most of us on TAG can do
if you can shoot a damn Condor effectivly at over a 100, a Barret at a 1000 is not a great deal different…been there, done that, owned 5 different .50s from the 80s through the 90s

To much man drama for my taste. Most of the shooting is not that difficult, but the guys still manage to miss more often than most of us would.

As a firearms instructor, I can honestly say that many if not most of these shooters have never been properly trained. It’s obvious by the way they handle and shoot the various firearms. Why they are on a tv show is beyond me. 😕

My dads friend is a former navy seal and I never seen him show off. He tells me stories about when he was in the military and alot of guys ran their mouth talking shit. As a navy seal he never disrespected another branch or soldier. He said even though he was a seal that did not give him the right to disrespect another man. The real bad ass guys keep quiet and let their actions show who is the real bad ass. Just because he is a sniper does not give him any right to bash other guys

I DVR it and watch the shooting and fast forward threw the hissy fits.
