Traveling to the old mountain house to set a new record
Leaving in the morning. I was going to leave today but I had to get my retirement papers notorized before my 64 birthday on the 11th transferring me from disability to mandatory retirement..
Going to try for 600,650,700 yards on the cola cans. I was going to try and fill them with Tannerrite, but state regs do not allow that in the height of fire season, and although there is probably no danger, I will just use regular 12 cola cans.
I will most likely call Mike and give him a heads up if I break the 552 yard shot and the distance.

No doubt a good call! The stuff is pretty nasty and is hard to believe that it won’t start fires. It is very fun though, and if you get a chance to find a safe spot you should try it.
I don’t know if it would start fires or not, but I believe the USFS has restrictions on it’s use during fire season.
On the slight chance it did start a fire, I would be responsible for the cost of fighting the fire, even a small fire costs millions, so I decided against it.
And things were bone dry up there.

I use the Goliath Tannerite, it’s .22lr sensitive. It works for well for me with my .22 Cricket. Also according to their website, it will not start fires???

I recently saw a video somewhere of a guy setting it off with an air gun. I was going to try it but the fire danger, whether real or not dissuaded me.

I never have tried, stuff I use does not even reccomend handgun ammo

Well if u edit in a gun shooting and the can popping from heat the bid might look like he did the impossible
Shiiiit RJ, if its hot outside, by the time RC makes it back to the shooting bench and his heart rate returns from “Tachyarrhythmia”, the cans will explode before he can even shoot em. I mean guys come on……..this guy is so OOOOOOOOLD, his middle name “peter”, short for PETRIFIED….lol!

By the time his old ass makes it back to shoot them they will be back to regular pressure inside.
