Q:

trigger adj r3m (how to)

I saw videos of Earnest adjusting triggers with the 2 screw setup. My gun has the 1 screw setup. Best way to remove free travel or creep on first stage? Way too long!

Thanks, Ernest. It works on shorten the 1st stage travel. Do you have an idea about how to move the trigger blade closer to my hand? The trigger is a

little bit too far from my finger. What material you are using for the 2mm shim? alum.?

quote sniperlabyo:

to shorten the 1st stage travel, is to add a 1.75mm shim above the fix bridge, where the 2nd screw use to be on the R3 there a hump there now, if you add the shim you can get a vary light 1st stage with 2mm travel — I can get it down to 4oz 2 stage break every time on the gravity has no affect. I do this to all my trigger tune now—just now. try it—-get a 2mm thick plastic, cut it to fit flat on the
area above that hump use grease to keep it in place—-that hump clearance is your 2nd stage break distance from the 1st stage travel. to get a hair trigger tighten the screw till you can’t cock/engage the shear then CCW till it barley engage then add your shim then test–you can try other thickness shim till you like the 1st stage travel. I epoxy the shim when said and done.

Thanks,, earnest..yuorrr the mann…. :biggrinn:
