Q:

Trigger question

I have gone through the whole forum for weeks and I found only one post but I’m sure that others have thought of this: I do not know the dimensions of the edge but is it possible to get it’s trigger group into the condor and get the one pound pull. Or Does anybody know the difference between the two trigger groups. I don’t mind replacing springs with lighter ones or polishing the sears or even manufacturing different ones but I do not want to drill into my frame. Any ideas.

post back up here with the price for the trigger group if you dont mind

You guys are right I figured that the low fps of the edge gives a lighter trigger pull but I will get an extra trigger group to mess around with and I’ll know exactly what’s in the edge. Ie lighter springs shaved off sears

For sure, more preload, harder, nastier trigger pull….

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the hammer tension on the sear plays a huge part with how heavy the trigger pull is…I know that with the preload backed off my trigger feels lighter than with it cranked all the way up…so I think you might be wasting money on the edge trigger group….but it will give you a back up set of parts in case you f up the stock ones…Greg

I spoke to Tony at talon tunes he said the trigger parts were the same just a
Few changes maybe springs I’ll see if AF can sell me the trigger assembly for the edge and hopefully put it in my condor. Thanks all

I second what Subsonic suggested. But be careful and order new parts from AF from before you start polishing and squaring anything. The trigger parts are only surface hardened, and very easy to mess up. I’ve seen it done before, not that I would have screwed that up and put my Talon out of commission for weeks:lol:

I’ll try that suggestion with the over travel on the trigger does anybody know the difference between the edge and condor other than 3 lbs for the condor and 1 lb for the edge. From the outside looking at a catalogue not the actual rifle the edge’s bolts that hold the three sears are similar if not the same as on the condor frame any ideas.

i did the trigger mod thats in the quick ref. section and it does wonders for these guns…you can install the over travel screw w/o having to drill the fram as it goes into the steel plate that covers the trigger group..that plus a good polish but make shure you break any of the edges will make a night and day differance in your gun…Greg
