Q:

Trigger springs – Sorted

Hi all,

I dismantled the trigger on my CSS today and failed to realise that the the five springs were different sizes, one pair short & one pair long :banghead:
Would some kind soul please tell me where long and short spring should be placed.

Many thanks

Spring orientation – starting from the muzzel end
1) long spring lays horizontal in front of the piston
2) long spring sits vertical/upright over striker release (- hammer engagement spring?)
3) short spring sits vertical/upright over sear (- shear spring?)
4) long spring sits vertical/upright on trigger arm (- first stage spring?)
5) short spring sits vertical/upright over ball bearing at rear.

*added the answer to first post for ease of reference
corrected the number of springs to five

The are three vertical springs, 2 long, one short. Short goes in the middle.
