Trigger Vulcan vs Cricket
I spent the last week with my 22 cricket again and have concluded the it has a better trigger. I might have something wrong with the way the Vulcan is set up but I don’t feel any trigger pull. I can pull trigger on cricket and feel I’m pulling it and knows when it will break. The Vulcan has no feel to it at all. It just breaks after pulling it a certain amount. Does anyone with both guns experience what I’m talking about?

OK UPS was here :8: :8: :8: unwrapped gun and the first thing I checked was the trigger pull :biggrinn: All I can say is WOW is it nice. I filled gun to 205 BAR, set it in my gun vice and got out my trigger pull gauge. I shot it 5 times and every time it broke at 4oz. 1st stage is very light with a nice short stop before the 2nd stage breaks. When I first got my Vulcan the trigger sucked, if you’d pull the 1st stage and release the trigger, the trigger would stay where it was and wouldn’t rebound back. 2nd stage was set at 18 oz with lots of creep. Now it’s a VERY CRISP 4 oz break. I love it.
Then I removed the cocking bolt and moved it to the right hand side. I tried Lurkers Vulcan, he has his on the right hand side and it felt natural and faster to cock. I also degreased the threads and applied a small amount of blue locktite. Placed target at 40 yards and a few shots later it was sighted in. To damn hot and muggy for me to sit and crono, maybe later this week if it cools down. Lurker left me some 21 grainers to try out. They shot unbelievable out of his gun, way better than the usual 18.1 grain.
Over all Cricket vs Vulcan trigger all I can say is it’s a tie with me. BOTH of my guns have awesome triggers and both break crisp. Thank Ernest!!!
If that 5 oz. trigger is to much, try unhooking that spring and let us know if it helps

I remember Bruce Lee said something about “think” and “feel”….. hmmm.. let me watch that scene again and try to relate to trigger pull
If you think you’re not feeling it pop that spring off the screw head. But have it pointed in a safe direction as always. Then hook it back a d try it again. I still think you’llget more feel if you move the screw to the left.
Mine is set to a short pull and fairly light. As light as it needs to be. There is a difference between light trigger and a trigger with some feeling to it. I am wondering if there are members who can actually feel themselves pulling the trigger and feeling the mechanism move.

I shot Zonk’s Cricket with a light rigger pull and liked it so much I went to work on my Vulcan.
There is a tensioner spring in the Vulcan that may do just what you want it to.
I’m not absolutely sure of it but it is an easy adjustment if it works the way I think it does.
It looks tike this:
I’m pointing at a shinny screw head with an allen wrench. If the two holes to the left of it are threaded and if something else doesn’t fall out when the screw is moved, that should increase the tension as the spring is latched on the screw head further to the left. Careful as if you release the spring or something else comes loose you may have a worse problem.
I shortened my 2nd stage and made a controled by breath trigger. Mine may be unsafe and I appreciate someone looking to go in the opposite direction.

I didn’t take it out of the stock Lurker, hell I’ve owned it for 5 weeks and only had it in my hand for 4 days counting today. I put my MTC Optasian 3x12x44 with SCB reticule on it for now. It cocks very smooth now, just to hot out for me to enjoy.
