Trouble adjusting to off-hand shooting with shrouded Condor
I have a .22 Condor. I also have a 12″ barrel and the SS end cap. The SS is a lot more comfortable to shoot off hand than the Condor, but I like having the Condor power.
When I do off hand shooting, the .22 Condor is about as much as I can handle accurately. The Condor is too loud to shoot without my shroud. When I use my shroud, it is great to shoot bench rested, but I just can’t seem to get the hang of it off hand.
Fortunately, I also have a micro-meter tank and if I use it with my condor, the noise level is fine and I don’t have the balance problems of the shroud when doing off hand shooting.
Have any of you gotten to the point where you can do off handed shooting well with a shrouded Condor (mine is a talon tunes shroud)? Any pointers on technique? Maybe I just need to work out more and build up some more strength and endurance to better handle the rifle.
I’m thinking about maybe purchasing an 18″ barrel. That may be a good compromise between power and a manageable size.

I never had a shroud on mine but going from 24 to 18 ” barrel on my Condor gave it a better offhand balance. To me at least.
personally, i find the condor a little on the light side for off hand shooting.
try shooting it like a biathalon skier midsection turned 90 degrees from target, elbow tucked in pelvis out ect. and use your hand like a rest.
also try turning your scope magnification down as it can look shaky as hell past 8 or 10x.
if all else fails practice, practice, practice.

I can do it with the Condor — It’s the Condor plus the big shroud that is giving me trouble.

i havent shot paper with my condor offhand but i have tooke several small aniimals at ranges out to 70 yards. i would say just practice till you happy.

i have trouble shooting the condor offhand as well
on a bench its awsome
standing i am worthless
now thats 1/2 the reason im sellig it is i cant shoot it off hand 👿
plus the B51 is a laser off hand
i think its my hold actually i like to choke up tight on the guns
come fall i am going to build a short bbled .25 condor 😈

my LD,P1,and B51 will get me through
I actually had a guy offer me a nice deal on 2 springers for the condor today 😈 i may take it its a toss up between a 909 and 2 springers(both of which i have always had an eye for)
