There are many ways you can help to protect the 2nd Amendment. Joining the NRA is just one. Electing Trump over Hillary is another. Doing nothing is how most people do it. How do you do it? 😉
I would say attacking the NRA or Trump doesn’t sound very conservative. Sounds pretty dang Liberal. Just saying… Trump has so far been farther right than most have imagined who hoped he would at least be moderate. Fake? What is real? Obama or Hillary? Sanders? Free college for everyone. lol
I pay attention to what they do and not what they say. Obama was the least transparent and most disingenuous Socialist I can remember.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.
I believe in and not what a political party says what I should or must vote for because of the Parties’ belief . I vote for
my own beliefs only . I live in California and all I can say is that from what our Fore-Farthers’ first established for all
Americans and citizens of the United States Of America to own fire arms that most of my gun rights have been severally
taken away by the Liberals who think that they own and run our Country . Obama really fucked us , as of 12/25/17 we
will no longer be able to buy any kind of powdered ammo from the internet at all . You , We , will have to go to a ammo
shop in person to buy our ammo and be forced to pay for it at the price the shop says we will have to pay for it . Our
only hope is that Trump will be able to fix another one of Obama’s major fuck-ups . All American citizens in every state
should be able to have the right to bear arms with the same and all gun rights that our Fore-Farthers fought for .

I’m sorry but your argument does not hold water.
I understand you may be upset that you can no longer buy a certain item on the internet, however, you can still buy it. For your rights to have been infringed upon, then you would not be able to buy the item at all.
Also think of this. And keep in mind I am only playing devil’s advocate here. Imagine if you will some teenager buying loads of ammo off of the internet using their parents or a stolen credit card. Imagine if you will a mentally unstable person purchasing ammo off of the internet. Imagine if you will an illegal immigrant buying ammo off of the internet. Now imagine one of those people going out and committing heinous acts. The complaints against the system would be deafening.
It’s the same thing if a car manufacturer says you can no longer buy any parts online. You have to go into a store and pick them up. You can still get the parts. You can still drive your car. It may be an inconvenience and may cost more, but you can still get what you want. Now if you had stated you cannot get the parts in the entire state of California, then I say you would have a case.
You still have your rights sir. You can still bear arms.
Now I will remind you I am neither pro or con. Just stating your/this particular argument does not hold water.

Our second amendment rights are not contingent on paying NRA dues.

You are a poser Conservative and it because of that kind of nonsense we have to fight for our rights against fake conservatives like Trump.
The nature of our litigious society has forced the NRA to avoid any comments that are knee jerk reactions on any shooting until the facts come out. In the case of the CT shooting the facts were indeed shocking and somewhat different than initially reported as most tragedies are. I follow the NRA very closely on all public shootings and agree with the approach they have been forced into. There are literally thousands of Liberal lawyers hinged on their every word to attack them as possible every chance they get. They have followed this process on all of the mass shootings.
The fake news part of this comes into the articles that immediately followed by the Liberal MSM outlets. I can post some of them. Amazingly, the Liberal HuffPo actually agreed with the NRA approach unlike most. If you dropped support of the NRA because of their process your support was very weak to being with.
The Liberal MSM spends a good deal of their time demonizing gun owners. If you are a gun owner on here and are arguing against the NRA or trying to justify why you no longer pay them any dues you are pretty screwed up. You deserved Obama and you deserve to have your gun rights removed.

I remember back in December 2012 when one of the Liberal MSM reporters was doing their job shortly after the Sandy Hook School shooting, (NOT Fake News BTW), and the reporter asked NRA leader Wayne Lapierre LIVE on the air for his comment…..he looked into the camera and said “I won’t comment until having all the facts”. WHAT? I nearly fell off the chair in disgust. WTF is this guy thinking? Twenty, six and seven year old children plus adults gunned down by a mentally unstable lunatic, and that’s the response he comes up with, LIVE on camera? That’s the day I stopped being a NRA member! And it didn’t make a rats ass difference what he came up with to back-track his initial statement in his “Schools need protected by weapons” address a day or so later, I was DONE.
For months after my membership expired I received mailings and then recorded solicitation phone calls from NRA people asking why I allowed my membership to lapse. With caller ID it would show NRA and I would just ignore it or occaisionally pick up and hang up. Then, one day I hesitated briefly, no recording started and a voice on the other end spoke Hello, surprised, I asked, You a real person, working for the NRA? he replied yes and the NRA would appreciate you re-newing your membership, I then went on to explain my reason WHY I would NOT mentioning Lapierres’ less than heartfelt on camera response,,, the solicitor apologized and I’ve NEVER had another call from the NRA.
So let mr trump go to the NRA and spew his showmanship, ’cause that’s all it is.
No – donating money for the magazine in this case would make you more informed and a better voter hopefully. Ignorance Is Not Bliss Regarding Hunting and Conservation and gun rights – all which the NRA supports. The Liberal MSM trashes them with fake news constantly. Most voters are uninformed like you and only catch the lies off of the MSM.
Naive indeed. That’s why I asked the question. But here-in lies the problem. I simply asked if anyone could tell me “their” experience with this. Sure, I can always go to one website or the other. But I will only get their side or their spin on this. In addition, I do not need to donate my money to any organizations. Does giving money automatically make you a shoo-in? If that’s the case, I’m going to heaven with gold-gilded drawers on.
