Twisting the butt pad??
I’ve just got a new bottle but there’s a 1 piece rubber butt pad/ cheek piece on the rifle. Where as the Talon butt pad spins on the screw when you loosen It off, this one Is fixed In basically. Is there anyway to twist It round as mounted on my rifle the shoulder pad Is horizontal. Twisting doesn’t seem to be working as the pad Is rubber and the bottle Is metal so there just gripping each other.

Hang on, you’ve got another option. The gun doesn’t care how the bottle indexes. Remove the pistol grip (long allen wrench) to get access to the setscrew that’s securing the steel ring the tank threads into. Loosen the setscrew, rotate the tank until the pad lines up the way you want, tighten the screw and replace the grip.

I got the logun after the ss and before the talon.
I think rexwood posted a tip the logun was on craigs list in LA
I scooped it up, Heavy gun but the magazine is kinda nice, it stays in the safe most the time.
did you get the logun or the talon first?
Looks just like the bottle on my Logun S-16
If it is plastic. I would empty the bottle of all of its air, that sucks. I would then put a hair dryer to it and work it all over to heat up the plastic. As the plastic gets hot keep trying to rotate it to the position you want.
I have never seen a shoulder piece like that.

I would try the hot water….Also once it is good and warm try sliding something between the rubber and bottle to free it up some…..Once it has softened it should move….
I thought about adjusting the collar but the collar has an recess for the grub screw to fit Into. I know I could drill another but I have another bottle I use that Is set up for the current configeration so would rather just flip the butt pad abit……. Aslong as It’s not too hard 😆 What about heating It up In boiling water so the rubber expands??
try to shoot some silicon spray in between the tank and rubber, if you can’t get it to move you will have to adjust thee bottle collar in the frame
Could try some compressed air but I use a hand pump to fill my bottle so can’t give a sharp blast. Here’s the pics anyway Wok,
You can see here the shoulder pad Is horizontal so needs turning 90 degrees so I can shoulder It.

If you want that rubber cover off there, blow some compressed air under it. It will swell up and you can get it off very easily. Then, when you let off the air, it sticks like it did before. Try it.
Also works with bicycle grips and other stuff like that.
The one on the new bottle Isn’t stock Talon, It’s a bigger bottle and a 1 piece rubber pad with no bolt to adjust the shoulder pad…
There should be a screw on the shoulder pad….Loosen it and turn the shoulder pad…..If it is all one piece, try soaking it in hot water to soften the rubber then try to turn it…..
