It would blow apart.

Not to mention the fact that these devices are extremely dirty on powder burners, and they would plug up quickly, not that that would bother german engineers, as long as its complicated, it doens’t matter if it works.

I had a silenced 22 ruger 10-22, about every few hundred rounds, the unburned powder would cook off and make this whistling sound like it was lunch time.

It happened once on a jackrabbit hunt, I was shooting at a running jack, the can cooked off and the rabbit hearing the whistle stopped dead in his tracks, and then died, even a blind squirrel gets a nut now and then, but if the nut is sitting still it is a lead pipe cinch.

Just because these two shroud designs are so whacky I am bumping this thread.

😎

uhh, you play pinball with these things, right??

looks like they would be a nightmare to produce and get to function nevermind that they are trying to capture the gasses and not just slow them down…. 🙄 🙄

Contraptions! Doubtful these went further than paper The baffles and expansion chamber on the last one have merit but those valves are just silly. Early twentieth century? No sprechen sie Deutch.
