UK SKAN 32
I’ve had this as a collector’s piece for a few years. After I acquired it found that it would not feed or cycle properly. It went back to the maker who returned it “fixed” but it never worked properly.
I’ve had it apart and found the pellet probe was not perfectly concentric in the barrel, causing pellet damage and thus misfeed.
Now it works perfectly and likes RWS Super Fields 5.52, rattles through 32 shot magazine after magazine easily.
I machined down a silencer adaptor from a UK Stealth so I could fit a Weihrauch silencer and all you can hear is a thunk when the striker hits the valve, it sounds like there is no air in it but the targets tell a different story.

I don’t think Skans are regulated and mine definitely has a sweet spot. If you fill to about 170 bar test your ME again and you may find it nearer to 12 fpe.
When I first got mine I filled to 200 bar and got around 10 fpe, lowering the fill level a bit found the sweet spot and I get around 70 shots ( 2 mags+) before it drops off.
Another thing to look for is the o ring on the pellet probe, it likes a bit of Moly 33 to keep it supple.
Of course they will all be different. I found that you have to persevere to get the best from a Skan.

hi bud i only experienced the last one which is the mk4/24 i must admit i havnt liked the look of the earlier ones, someone else is selling 2 on airgun bbs one is some sort of limited edition only 50 made , but i am very happy with this model if i can get the power up a touch it will be spot on and with a 32 shot mag its a dream 🙂

update recieved my skan the guy only put about 20 shots through it then put it away its shooting fine a little low in power for me at 10.5 ftlbs will have to see if i can find a smith to up it to 11.5 ftlbs but i am an happy chappie and 2 more skans are being sold by another guys on airgun bbs now, not enough money to snap them all up.. :):)
just an update but i found a skan for sale, i am surprised it was there,. they usually get snapped up like hotcakes. he had reduced the price from whatever he originally put on to £575 including postage, it has the silencer ans scope etc, reckons less than half a tin of pellets through it, as when he bought it new in 2010 he changed over to live fire weeks later and never used the gun again ,check should have arrived with him so i am expecting a phone call either mon or tues to says its being posted…

before I got it fixed I would have advised you to avoid any Skan but now I’m hooked. I’ve got some black laminate pieces and I may just make myself some furniture so I’ll have a custom rifle. I see you have an Edgun, I know they rave about them in the US, it would be good to have a Skan forum becuase these rifles, once understood, would be easy to tinker with.
i have done a lot of heavy promoting of the gun as i love it and so far have helped about 20 folk aquire one only one seems to have had real problems that i can see, i would buy another at the drop of a hat if i had the cash.. 🙂

nice bud just missed out on a mk4 a few month back at £500… a guy who visits the club as a mk4 as well its a sweet gun to shoot and no more noise than a lot of airguns out there.. 😎 😎
I don’t but there is one on the SKAN website I think.

hi bud, for some reason i havent been getting notifications of any replys since at least june looking at your reply date, the pellets the guy sent with it were the low power problem as soon as i was useing 15+ grains again as with my other guns i was showing a nice 11.4ftlbs which suits me fine its a great addition to my collection of guns and am well happy with it.. 😀 😎
