Q:

Update: To the Jack Haley 32 pcp project

Picked up the stock today at Richards Microfit and was quite happy with the color and the look. Their stock are always sold as unfinished. They also offer a finishing kit.

So now i am off to start sanding/working on the stock. Might be done in a week if i get to spend about 1 hour on the stock a day. Also gonna add a MORGAN adjustable butt pad to her and a Bipod Swivel stud. I did put the action in the stock to check on alignment, and everything lined up just perfect. But the problem (not really) is that i have to open up the airtube channel a little (inlet).

Its called TigerWood.

CDNhunter and AirTight……..he he he.

The stocks they make come with all the hole cut out for particular action.

They line up perfectly. They told me they would inlet the stock for the 1″ O.D. airtube and they made it too narrow. So now rob is gonna lend me his inletting tool to open the airtube channel up to 1″.

AIRTIGHT P…….thats a good one 😆 😉

Looking good Tofaz. Do they call it microfit, cuz it comes close to fitting but not actually. 🙂

that’s crazy is everything already all cut out like the holes for where to put the trigger guard on? or did you have to basically do everything like the thumbhole?

I bet its hard just lookin.

getting closer. almost done sanding.

haha… I knew they’d not inlet it all the way…

I just feel like an arse now for not getting that stock bed tool out sooner….. No rush on getting it back, just whenever. Could also be used to channel out any other stocks you have with a 1 inch tube that might be a bit rough… a little extra finish or extra wood in the inletting can change harmonics and cause inaccuracies.

Thanx ROB. I will get it back to ya ASAP. When i placed the action into the reciever i could just hear you over my shoulder saying “i told you they would not inlet the stock a full 1”. HE HE

I need to remove about 5/16″ +- some to get the action to seat were it should. Should be easy though.

DAMN, DAMN, DAMN….

sorry, Tofaz…. stock bedding tool will hit the mail tomorrow. Sorry on that…….. Stock looks great. Should have that bedding tool in a few days. Will make the job 1000% easier.

that thing already looks nice, what kind of finnish are you going to put on it and what did it run you?

That is going to look so good when you get it finished, and I really like the hand grip.
