Q:

Urgent — More Condor Trouble

I just tried to put the TT quick change top hat back in the gun and when I picked up the rifle to insert the top had an o ring fell out. It is just a little over 1/2 inch in diameter.

Now when I try to install the top hat it remains springy. When I fire it, it will not go into the gun and stay. However, there is no air in the tank.

Most recently I installed the drop down tank adapter, during which process I used two orings. One that was already in the spin lock tank. The other came with the tank adapter.one is now where the original one was; the other o ring is between the tank adapter and the spin lock tank part that once held the pressure guage and fill nipple.

What did I screw up?

If anybody could call to talk me through it I would be grateful. Pm for my number if you can help.

Thanks

Well it sounds like problem solved.

First an apology to Tony for bitching he didn’t call on my timeframe. He’s been amazing at customer service and patience and he deserved better than that.

It turns out:

The tank must be full to install the top hat.

One of the online videos showing how to install the tank adapter is outdated. The one that talks about grinding off trigger bolts is not to be followed. Fortunately I didn’t get that far before Tony rescued me.

Thanks to Tony I am geared up to try it again. Maybe with some more patience this time.

P.P.S.

I inventoried the washer set Tony sent me and it looks like the 1/2 inch washer came out of that bag.

Meanwhile, the valve assembly is definitely messed up.

AirForce said they can’t help except to sell me another tank.

Meanwhile, call number two to Tony is pending a response.

Anybody want to by a drop down tank adapter and unfired top hat? Surpressor too. I’ve had it with trying to modify this gun.

If there is any chance of fixing the valve instead of buying a new one that would be awesome.

P.S.

I tried inserting the top hat and filling the tank.

The tank will not fill; the air merely flows out the top hat.

I saw that I skipped a step on the install video. Specifically, it said the tank adapter will not line up correctly without changing a couple of screws inside the trigger. But I can’t see how it could line up any more correctly. The formerly spin lock tank screws in just like it did before the tank adapter was installed.

Please help

Thanks
