Q:

Use of .177 Condor tank with a .22 24" barrel?

I have a .177 Condor with the dedicated .177 tank (I believe the valve to the tank uses a heavier spring). Was wondering if anyone went to a .22 barrel and used that same tank? What results did you get? Power wheel considerations? Shots per fill, etc.

What happens when you use a regular Talon tank on a .177 barrel? What about a Condor tank? Does anyone have a Micro-Meter tank with a .177 barrel?

The 16 gr Eun Jin’s pack a wallop. I like the fact that I get more pellets for the same money. My Condor is the only .177 I have that will handle them. That little bit of lead will do the job waay on out there.

My case is the opposite than you, I have a .22 Condor and I would like to use a 0.177 barrel…
😕

I probably wouldn’t lose too much accuracy at short range going supersonic, but I prefer to keep it quiet. I usually shoot 900 – 950 fps and it does well at any range I’m used to shooting… 100 yards or less, typically 40 – 60 yards.

A 177 tank is on my wish list next year , I want one for FT. I got the barrel already ,

but I bought to much stuff lately , have to get some more airgun dollars saved up.

So you’ve got the .177 tank? Glad to hear you don’t lose much with it. I was hoping to get 1,000 fps with Kodiak .22, or just above that. Did your accuracy go bad when they went super sonic? I get about a little over 1,000 fps withe 10.5 gr., .177s, and that is with the power wheel turned down midway.

Any reason why you didn’t go with a regular Condor .22 tank? One would almost think the perfect arrangement would be a .22 barrel with a .177 tank, assuming you didn’t want to go super sonic with regular .22s.

It will send .22 kodiaks supersonic if I crank it up, does around 1000 fps with 28 gr Eun Jin heavies. I found a point for the top hat which works ok with either .177 or .22 though I may not be getting the absolute max out of it. I’ve never had a tank dump or any problems at all for that matter. In .177 I just shoot the 16 gr Eun Jin’s and they do fine.
