USPS Damage Cricket Stock "LOOK"
A member sent his Cricket for a full tune, he used the original box, you cricket owners know what I mean by small. Well it look like it was drop on the shroud end, it force the shroud/Barrel to the scope rail, Barrel force the breech block, breech block broke the rear section of the stock,. Lucky no major damage I couldn’t fix. the owner has the finial touch up on the stock. To avoid this from happing again please have 4″ protection at the ends and 2″ on the sides.

We need to pack our airguns cautiously. I would say over do it. This way damage is less likely. I have shipped a few guns and have not had any issues. But i am paranoid and over pack.

I emailed Peter to post the 30 cal pictures and updates here rather than the Yellow where Steve deletes them. Most of his customers are here anyways.
I have 8 tins of JSB 30s ordered b4 I have even bought a gun. 😯
Peter hasn’t ship it yet, need to ask them to include a tin of .30 pellets. going to do some crony string, shot count, to determine if I can get it to shot over 85 FPE with descent shot count. 35y, 55y, 75y, 100y groups. will post full report.
You know today I was tuning a .25 cal cricket to increases the shot count—> so far at 45fpe getting 80 shots with spread of 19fps, still tweaking to get it tighter.

I simply do not send a air rifle with the stock attached these days.
I pack it in two packages, with the foam bumper on each end, disassembled from the stock. Then the two packages are securely taped together.
My three current wood stocked air guns came to me shipped that way.
When I bought my Tarantula a big part of the appeal of that rifle was the wood, and at 64 you old guys know how important good wood is. 😛 The requirement that it be packaged in two packages was requested and accepted.
This is a deal breaker for me these days. I always wanted a Rainstorm, but the fragile wrist area and all the pictures of them fractured at the wrist as prevented me from getting one because I have never found a seller who would ship me a new one disassembled. Oh well the Tarantula will have to do.

Sound advice there! We all have to pack our guns like we expect them to be used as ball bats and tossed around like basketballs.
