UTG 3×9 32 Bug, Mistake?
Well I might have misjudged the Bug scope, Going from the 22 cricket and the 25 Cricket the weight is a major difference,,,
I have a Hawke sidewinder 4×18 30mm scope that I just love , Its a great scope…I got my new to me 25 Cricket and installed the same tripod as the 22 but I had to install a bug scope on it for money reasons.
Now being retired my day starts out like this , I get both guns out set them on the table , I shoot out of my kitchen window, I really like the tripods I hate laying my guns down, Make my coffee set up my large camera tripod (I shoot off ) Read the local paper , and shoot birds for an hour or so. Longer if I have more to read. LOL.
I go back and forth shooting sparrows with the 22 and the 25 , I really feel the extra weight of the 22, Now I am only shooting at 38 yards , Any Euro dove now falls prey to the 25 just a more of a clean kill.
They are some tough birds , as tough as the feral pigeons are a little tougher maybe.
JBS 25 25,39gr and JBS 22, 18.13 gr so far….
When I do change pellets and I have some I like to keep the weight very close to what I am shooting and sighted in with……

I bought a leapers compact for $150 to go on my new rapid70 Prod bull pup.
I was eyeing the BSA FFP, but I wanted to save as much weight and size as possible.
Although the Leapers compact is a good scope..(mine has a parallax problem).. I have a little remorse and wish I would’ve gotten the BSA.
The only weight and size I saved by getting the Leapers compact over the BSA, is 2″ length and 2oz weight.
Having the FFP function is an amazing feature I wish I would’ve went for.
The BSA will definitely be my next bull pup scope when the time comes.
So many guns, scopes and doodads, Just not enough money,,,, I have read a little on the Leyla wow what a small gun….

iride sounds like a good start to your morning. I went through the same progression. I now have a Leupold VXIII 8.5X25X50 long range scope on the .25 Cricket. The Bug scope is comfortably sitting in her box awaiting the arrival of my new .20 Leyla that may be here after the new year. I have been chastised for stating that Euros and feral need a .25 for clean kills. I am amazed how tough the Euros really are. I have a BSA 4X14 FFP scope on my Edgun and I have been really pleased with the size, weight and performance. I wouldn’t hesitate to put this scope on the 25 Cricket. I routinely use the turrets for BDC and the reticle always returns to zero. Plus the scope and turrets match so it’s easy for range finding. The scope is pretty clear for a 200 dollar china FFP scope. I have also found the 1/10th MRAD requires less clicks when compared to 1/4 MOA.
With a little google-ing you can find this scope cheaper.

Haggard, my shooting buddies have labeled me a “scope snob” because I mostly hate scopes from China. Most of my China scopes will not track properly when using the turrets for BDC. It makes me insane. Every scope should be able to do that and every scope should have a zero stop :angrymob: . Having said that the BSA FFP lives up for my snobery. It does not have a zero stop but I do like the scope
I agree, the BSA is just right for a bullpup
