Well yes and no.
As far as groups go, it is the 80 grain NOE followed by the 257420 HP, but any given day one may be better than the other, and the 100 NOE always comes in last.
However that is shooting at 260 to 280 yards here on the vineyard. When you stretch that range to 500, 550 and 600 yards the NOE 100 grain bullet is king of accuracy because of two factors, first and for most is the wind bucking ability, it is far more wind resistant that the 257420 hp and the NOE 80 grain.
All three bullets have SWC or HP profiles, but the SWC metplate on the 100 NOE is extremely small and is almost a spitzer, it does not take too much squinting or imagination to turn that bullets profile into a 168 grain Match King profile with its long slender nose and the gas check base, which I bevel with a tool I have into a semi boattail. That profile and extra weight greatly increases the BC over the other two candidates by a factor of 2 which you already know.
At 600 yards with a 90 degree 10 mph cross wind, the 257420 will drift 125 inches, the 80 grain NOE will drift 106 inches and the NOE 100 will only drift 50 inches.
The second factor is the 100 grain NOE shoots far flatter than the other two lighter bullets, with a 100 yard zero, the NOE 100 grain bullet while starting slower by 220 FPS than the 257420 71 grain bullet is far flatter shooting to 600 yards than either the 257420 or the NOE 80 grain. The 257420 with a 100 yard zero at 1120FPS at 600 yards will drop 773 inches while the 80 grain NOE will drop 741 and the 100 grain NOE will drop 654 inches.
While shooting down in the meadow I had almost no wind except occasional gusts that can be heard on the video, however another 100 feet of elevation and against the hillside while setting the cans you felt constantly changing strong gusting winds, those winds I knew would be the strongest thing going against me for getting a hit, that and not being able to dial in for a POA at 550 to 600 yards, the 101 was simply the best bullet for the job at hand which was to reach out from 500 to 600 yards. I had learned long ago that the winds there could not be read with flags or vegetation, but had to be chased by shooting and seeing were the bullet drifted, how much and where the wind blew the dust stirred up by the bullet, so the solution has always been to shoot and use Kentucky windage until the wind changed agian, then hold directly the target, shoot and use a different hold with Kentucky windage.
A good example of that was the fact that zeroing at 608 yards with almost no wind, Ihad maxed out all 107 inches of elevation and was holding on the 24 MOA mark and had the power dialed down from 14 to 12 to increase the MOA scale value, the wind picked up and put me back at 14 power and 12 on the MOA scale, then later it died down and I was at 14 using the 21 MOA mark.
I had spent a decade shooting on that range, it was 250 yards to the 1100 yard line from my front door, with many different rifles and knew about the swirling winds there. The last 7 years I only used subsonnic cast bullets on the range, so I pretty much knew what I was up against, but to curb my bets I took along a couple hundred bullets of each weight, but for the exception of one 257420 HP for a ground squirrel, the 101 was the only bullet I shot.
So at 500 to 600 yards the 100 NOE is far more accurate than what is more accurate at 260 to 280 yards.

RC…I noticed that you choose your NOE’s bullets on this challenge.This make me think that logically the most accurate of your bullets on your current set up chosen by you to accomplish your purpose.
It seems that my guess over here was right,saying that NOE 100gr will be a winner and that was before you received your 1/10….wasn’t it?

The place I was shooting at was the only full time inhabited home in 110 square miles when I lived there. In that county the population density is one person per square mile.
The State I live in, Oregon, on the west coast has had 230 people who have gotten lost in the wilderness since 1997 and have never been found, they got lost, died and got eaten by wild animals or got lost and went directly to being eaten, we are very fortunate to a have a lot of wilderness here.
I was breaking and training horses up on that mountain until I was 50, I used to ride green colts in areas where if I was bucked off the horse and broke a femur, I would have never been found, and of course at the time I lived alone and would have not been missed for weeks, it is very isolated.
Now about that problem you had with the guy behind the target taking a shit, try not to put your target up on public toilets my friend. 😆 😛

Wow! great shooting. You and Cedric are definitively breaking new ground with airguns here. There is a unit called an optimizer that is used to compensate for crossbow trajectories that might be of benefit to you. here is a pic.

I don’t know what kind of natural ranges you have at US but here is very difficult to find one to shoot safely.
Usually i choose a natural barrier to mount the target like a small hill.
That event i described above was happen a month ago.I went to a wilderness beach,mount the target and then went backward to shoot it from a distance.
There was a downward distance between me and the target (about 5 degrees) and supposed that once i hit the target the bullet will dropped to the sea 20 meters behind the target.
Unfortunately my bullet hits to a rock in front of the target and i heard a pissed voice cursing me…That was the first and the last bullet i spent that day so do not know how good i am at that distance.
However for me zeroing the scope higher from the crosshair,works great at 20x at least for 300meter because the last thing i want to do,is to lower the power in order to give more distance.That way its like shooting water drops with fire.

For this kind of work you really do need 100 minutes or more if you can get it.
When I first shot at the 608 yard cans, I tried Tofazfou trick of lowering the power to give more distance from the crosshair intersection to the 24 MOA point on my scope and for a while that worked, but the more I shot I got a tail wind and it allowed for 14 power and the 12 moa mark for a while.
My wife and I were sure we had two 608 yard hits, we heard the metallic hit sound and on one we saw the spray caused by the can breaking and loosing half it’s contents, but I think it was just rocks hitting the can. When you see a hit on a can on these video’s even the one at 552 yards, it explodes the can.
I am going to go back in the first week of August, perhaps shim my scope more and get that hit at 608 yards.
We need to call this the “Pepsi Challenge” and keep track of the distances and dwho has gotten there and with what.

Fine….I myself zeroed my scope 3-4 dots over the crosshair at 70yrds for those kind of distances.
That way i have plenty of elevation at full power.
430m is the highest i ever tried to shoot and accidently almost I would have killed a man who had a shit behind a bush due bullets ricotech…so i didn’t tried it again… :D.
the scope i m using right now i have 100 inches of adjustment too.
I have a Leupold VX111 30 MM LR 4.5×14. It gives me 107 inches of adjustment pretty much the same as you get on a M4 4.5×14 LR/T.
It allows me to have a POA out to 600 yards.
I zeroed at the 502 yard range, 86 minutes and on the next video on the 552 yard video, 98 minutes, on the 608 yard target where I busted a can with flying rocks from a low shot, I had all the 197 inches in and was on the 12 to 24 MOA reticle depending on what the wind was doing.

Sounds like right about 2 seconds flight time for 1506 feet. Those slugs perform quite well.
