Q:

Valve body question

Hi guys, does anyone know whether the talon valve body is the same as the condors? If so could a talon valve be converted to a new condor valve by simply replacing the stem, valve seat and seal?

Ah, so you’re to blame! I’m only joking of course. I’m sure there must be someone else out there that can answer my questions while Tony’s busy.
To sum up I’d like to know:
Is the talon valve body the same as the newer condor hi-flo valve body?
If it is, what parts do I need to swap over to convert my valve to hi-flo?
Finally, I’m running a talon with an 18″ .22 barrel, is there any point in going with an extreme valve over a standard hi-flo?
I’m especially interested in hearing from folks running the same barrels, finding out their preferred mods.
Any pointers and advice appreciated as always.

Perhaps someone who kows will answer your other questions 😳 😳

Tony is busy at getting a big shipment of Vulcan bullpups checked out and one shipped to me. So sometimes he doesn’t answer the mail as quickly as he answers his phone. Of course I try not to bother calling unless I have an order ready but need his advice.

Thanks. Yeah I sent Tony a PM but haven’t heard back yet. I’m reluctant to buy the extreme valve for my talon ss as I’m only using a 18″ .22 barrel, I’m guessing I’ll have a lot of surpluss air with that valve, correct me if I’m wrong.
I know the condor ss runs on a 18″ .22 barrel and creates nearing 60fpe which is perfectly adequate for me. I think the condor ss comes with a standard hi-flow valve, is that correct? If so I’m looking to upgrade my valve to standard hi-flow. The question is, can this be done?

I believe the valve spring may be different too.
If you order from AF ask them, they might know
You might need a hammer weight also.
Or better by far get one of TalonTunes slap modded brass hammers.
I almost always get through to Tony at Talon Tunes on the first try.
