Thanks for the info melloroadman 1,

I’m hoping my lighter hammer will make my Condor valve act more like your Condor .177 valve.

Lighter than what? How light/what weight is it?

Thanks for the info melloroadman 1,

I’m hoping my lighter hammer will make my Condor valve act more like your Condor .177 valve.

I wasted alot of air trying to find the right spot. I set it then filled it and it leaked, I took the valve out and tighten it some more, I did this 3 times before I got it to stop leaking air. I think I heard it all click in place the last time.

I read the sticky on valve mod . Saw how he recomends the retainer be tightened . As far as my condor . It was a .177 24 inch barrel when I bought it new . Yes the springs are stronger for the .177 . Quite with out a shroud no . Still loud . Had very good results with mine at about .87 top hat and a 2200 psi fill . CPH 1000 fps . 30 shoots per fill . Going to a 25 caliber 24 barrel from Anthony with his heavy hammer now . Marvin

Until someone jumps in with your answer, what length .177 barrel are you using?
AF told me that the .177 Condor has a different valve spring. Did you change it?
I tried a .177 x 12″ barrel in my .22 x 24″ Condor with limited success. I ‘d still like to get it working good and quietly as a Condor SS.
