Valve job improved accuracy
Today I ported and polished the valve guts on my TSS, and to my surprise the gun appears to be more consistent now. This determination is based on 10m paper punching only, until the sun comes up and the target can be moved outdoors. Groups went from one ragged hole, to one clean(er) hole.
All I did was open up the valve stem to 3mm, bevel the ports of the stem, drill out the brass spring retainer and bevel the backside, then a quick polish with 400-1000-1500 grit on everything.
Is the old style condor valve worth a crap?
I did a polish job on the valve in my CO2 adapter, but wondered if it might be worth using with HPA someday.
