Q:

Valve oring?

Yeah, I know its there, but I can’t find it.

So what do you do? pry out oring inside the bolt and replace with one larger? know a size?

There are 2 o-rings in the Hi-flo valve system. One seals the valve stem in the brass thingy (darn I’m tired). A second o-ring can be found inside the top hat. The brass thingy is different in the Air tank from the CO2 tank brass thingy. Although they both use a High-flo valve, the ID appears to be larger in the CO2 thingy and it has a much larger o-ring installed in a larger recess.

Sorry I don’t know the part #s or sizes and I have no idea if the brass parts are interchangeable. There is also a larger recess in the CO2 brass thingy and the valve seat area is a larger diameter.

You might ask AF if these parts are interchangeable from the CO2 tank to the Air tank. If you get any further info from AF please post it here.

Forget the whole thing. It’s inside the valve

and probably something I can’t do.

Thanks anyway. sorry to waste you time.

try again

I’m thinking of an o ring. Can you guess which one it is??

sorry, I really dropped the ball on that one. I think most of what I wanted to say stayed in my head and for some reason I thought it got across.

sorry.

There is a valve oring mod that i’m looking for and can’t find.

It stops air from leaking around the “breech” where the valve head fits into it.

I thought it would be a simple mod that saves a bit of fps and gas the factory was concerned with loosing

ring any bells?

maybe i’m still confused and misread a few posts.

Dude, if you are asking for help you’ll probably need to be a bit more specific. Are you talking about the valve? or the breech? Cuz ‘bolt’ sounds kinda like ‘breech’ to me since the condor doesn’t have a bolt. It’s the black delrin plastic thingy that you slide forward then back for loading a pellet. If that’s the one, it’s called a BREECH and it has 2 o rings, both identical, one in front and one in back. They are Parker style 2-011, with an ID of around .301″? cross sectional thickness of .070″ (nominal). Others sell the exact same o ring under different numbers, but if you give the ID and thickness, they’ll be able to match you up.

Stock rings are 70 durometer hardness. I suggest going up to 90 durometer.

aloha,
walt
