Q:

Valve refinishing

Here it is…I have a horrible temper when I try to do something myself and I can’t get it done for some reason.

Well, I purchased an ETaC quite awhile ago and have not had a chance to try and get my valve off of my tank so, I set out to do that a few days ago. It didn’t work. I put it in a vise, wrapped to prtect it, and slapped the pipe wrench around the metal flashing I put in the base of the vavle. Yuk, one good wrap on the handle and poof, gouge marks galore!

Can it be refinished?

i used a file on mine to get out the marks

“shoot” a picture to see the damage.

I don’t know the posting cost, but the labor is 4free.
here a pic. of my workshop.

IMO. depending on how deep the gouge marks are then you should be able to have someone 😉 here turn the od of the valve collar down a little to clean up the looks of things…

Do the gouge marks stop it from working??? 😕

Yeah…I figured that would be the answer I got. The next question is Who’s valve is the best?
