Q:

Valve Return Spring

So I recently purchased a talonp from a member here on the forum and have since made some upgrades. Got the talonp for the wife which she is really enjoying. So I’ve gotten a 95 gram hammer, QCTH, and the upgraded hammer spring from talon tunes. I’m basically wanting to tune it using the second insert for the valve that way it gets more shots but still deliver good power. My question is on the valve return spring, been trying to look for info on it but not finding much on the talonp. I’d like to know where I can find a return spring that is stiffer that way the valve shuts quicker after impact from the hammer. In turn making it a little more affecient. I know regulators are good at making shot count better, but when you want the extra power it’s not there. So a little help on this would be greatly appreciated. My goal is good power with the highest shot count possible while keeping it compact. I’m looking to be around 35-40 fpe using the predator polymags in .25 caliber. Once I get that all figured I am curious to see what the max power will be with no insert and it cranked up on the power wheel. Want to see how much can be squeezed out of it with the mods on it. Anyways any thoughts or input on what I’m after will be greatly appreciated, always cool to get feed back on others individual exsperiances.

Naturally I’ll have fun it’s air guns, always fun for me even when I have problems. My first air rifle was from Talon tunes and since have added more to the collection. Just waiting for more of your parts I ordered a couple days ago, the. I’ll be testing my wife’s talonp out to get it where I want it. Thanks for the reply.

I see no reason for a heavier valve return spring when shooting .25.
Just add the QCTH and heavy hammer. Leave the heavy hammer spring out for now too.
Just play with the inserts and have fun.
Call if you need me.
