valve with side fill
Here’s three pictures of a valve I’ve been working on, with a side fill port, with a probe type fill adaptor. The valve body has a one-way valve built into it. It also has a second port for a pressure gauge or a tube to connect another bottle to it, if you wanted to fit a forward cylinder. This type of valve set-up would also be useful if you wanted to fit a regulator inside the bottle.

You wouldnt need to fill THROUGH the regulator. Thats half the valve system on McMikes reg right there.

great idea. would also simplify building a reg, as the path of airflow through the valve could completely bypass the reg; which will mean completely consistent shots even from first shot after fill as opposed to having to “shoot down” the regulated airspace to get “on regulator”.

Super Sweet! Ive been putting off making a valve body as I wanted a fill adapter on it. The problem was I didnt want a damn coupler hanging off the side of my gun always in the way. Great idea man, I love it.

This is not a modification that can be performed on an airforce valve as there is too much metal of the main body removed to allow the valve return spring retainer to be screwed in, but its easy enough to do on a Blodnob type valve as you can choose what diameter stem hole you want to bore as your making the valve body. This in turn allows you to drill extra holes to accomodate other fittings. Once I have got this one completed I’ll tighten up the tolerances on the next one and tidy up the finish and then black oxide it.

You should be able to see the hole where the probe inserts into the valve body and also the port in the middle which allows air into the bottle, after its pasted through the one-way valve. P.S. I got your private message. Thanks
