velocity and efficiency
has anyone ever figured out velocity and what efficiency you get. like some kinda graph. i was thinking of doing something like that because i have noticed as soon as my gun get around 1050 fps the efficiency goes down the shitter. just didn’t know if someone here has done it.

i agree with 1000 fps for accuracy i stick around 950 with most pellets. i just thought there might be a number where effiancy really drops off. thanks jeff for the info, that seems like a real good starting point, let us know if you find the thread
Jerry and Walt explained it pretty well in my thread “30 Shot string”. Also most around here say 1000 Fps. should be your absolute MAX. for the best in accuracy.
I seen a method on the yellow forum used by a guy named Harry(Yarrh). The number you get is a comparative number(the lower the better). I could not find the post on the yellow but will look again later.
It looks like this: Bar used x tank size(cc)/average FPE x number of shots. (1 bar = 14.5psi)
Ex: 25bar x 490cc/30ft lbs x 30shots = 13.61

You can be accurate with a pellet over 1000 fps. But personal experience I know I can be CONSISTENTLY ACCURATE at around 950’s fps
