Veteran 16gr pellet tune?
I want to tune for 16gr pellet AA or JSB, will be using 16gr Predetor Poly mags for hunting purposes as-well. My veteran is currently shooting AA and poly mags at 922 fps out of the box, I’ve not made any changes to the Veteran’s out of box settings. Question is…. At what fps is best for 16gr pellets? Also I’m having accuracy issues….I know it’s related to my holding while shooting, any suggest as to how you hold for best accuracy? The AA pellets are 5.51 head size, what head size are you getting best accuracy with? Please chime in I need some help.
Beach-gunner…..out. :4: :8:

I would personally set the speed to 880 to 890 fps. The extra 30 fps isn’t going to give you much more umph and may even cause some instability induced accuracy issues (should be verified with accuracy testing). It’s a personal preference really. It’s not necessary to adjust the reg as you can get away with just a hammer spring tension adjustment to get the fps where you desire. However, you most likely will see the fps creep up as you near 145-150 bar. You could easily fill to 250 bar and stop shooting at 150 bar for a refill. You’ll see a lot of very good shots in the area.
As far as your hold, get her steadied. The pup isn’t hold sensitive. Just get a secure hold and steady your breathing. Practice and more practice. Let us know how it turns out. Cheers.
