OK, Thanks, I kind of under stand now.

Nobody walks around and doesn’t check how many ft/lbs have your air gun.. If you buy air rifle over the power limit in a shop that have firearms license then within 5 days you have to register it but if you buy an air rifle like taipan veteran from a private person like your neighbor for example then you don’t have to register. It’s very very complicated, our law sucks

Don’t mean to keep beating a dead horse.
Are there police type people that go around and check the power of your air guns?
Or is it kind of an honor system?

in my country you can buy 177 , 22 25 up , there’s no limit, but if “on paper” is over 17 jouls they call it FAC and you must register it no matter what caliber it is, but it’s a loong story to tell.. i could buy Vet from USA or other country but tax is almost quarter price in this case so i think that’s make no sense..

You guys have some pretty strict laws over there on the power of a air gun.
Not sure the 25 is even legal over there, The 25 Veteran shorty in the USA is shooting the 28 gr pellet close to 900 fps
I thought the 177 was the pellet of choice to meet the power limits over the big pond?
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the 25 was out of the picture over there,
Mike
