Veteran Standard 22 in-coming – any tips on what to do?
Which pellet does the Taipan Veteran Standard likes?
I fill to 200 bar only from a scuba tank, what is the recommended velocity for the most number of shots? But accuracy is actually my most important goal.
Any suggestions for a scope mount?
Thanks.

Thanks GKU….. that UTG is surely so pretty.
.
more spec info ……..

Don’t need to lap them, but it up to you.
Use 2 clumps of putty or Play-Doh on the rail and press your scope down onto it till you get a comfortable and repeatable eye position with perfect sight alignment though the scope.
Remove the scope carefully and measure the thickness of the top of the rail to the bottom of the U channel, that is the Saddle Height you need.
On most of my Pups I’ve been using Med high rings, but be carefull some manufactures have way different spec on height.

I like that kind of kill zone. Thanks

I can not afford that Leupold. I admit, when deciding on the Taipan Veteran, I forgot everything about the optics and mount, and most others in the excitement. I have an old Leapers here somewhere… maybe that will fit.
So, you mean with the 20moa rail, it will need low mounts? That utg pro is sexy. Considering it… thanks for the suggestions.
I shoot JSB 18.13 grain @ 880 fps from my Standard Veteran .22. It’s very accurate at the 40 yard range I normally shoot. I have only cleaned the barrel in mine and done no tinkering. I had a couple of Marauders that I tinkered with then I decided I wanted a shooter that I set up once and very rarely modified. I got the mutant standard .22 and the standard veteran .25. Both accurate and fun to shoot. I got the Altaros booster pump http://www.altaros.cz/en/other-accessories/48-altaros-compressor-booster-unit for filling and I just fill them each to 250 bar then shoot down to around 120-130 bar. I get 5 mags on the .22 and 4 on the .25. My scopes are both Hawke scopes and I like them OK. I’m sure there are lots of great scopes that would work well with your rifle. I got a decent set of medium height rings on both of my rifles and I rarely fiddle with my scope adjustment once zeroed at the 40 yard distance I chose. That gives me zero at ~20 and 40 yards with a kill zone of ~1/2 inch from 16 to 46 yards holding dead on crosshairs. You’re gonna love it!
What’s not so expensive for you ?

First off, Congrats on a very fine choice !
A scope, they’re so many to choose from you need to find one to fit your application.
Not much to do on the Veteran out of box, clean barrel and shot to enjoy its built quality ……… tinker some maybe ?

Thanks…
I have liked the Vulcan for a long time, but could not get over the plastic/polymer trigger thing.
Not much to do on the Veteran out of the box…. that is just what I want to hear.. 😉
I am excited also on the built-in 20moa picatinny rail. .. so I asked about good/not so expensive choices for mounts.
