Veterans – Thank You
As Veteran’s Day approaches this Friday, I wanted to start this thread to reflect on the importantance of our service men and women, past and present.
They are important to me and hope they are to you too.
Today, I attended my daughter’s Veteran’s Day play this morning and it was very moving.
Today, I witnessed tears in the eyes of some battle hardened veterans during one of the songs the 5th students sang as they went in and among the veterans shaking their hands and thanking them for their service to this great country.
I admit that I teared up too.
I am not a veteran. My dad served in the navy in WWII and even though he’s not here for me to personally thank, I just want to say “Thank you Dad for your service to this country you helped make what it is today – Great.
If you served this land that I love – Thank you for your service.

Hats off in thanks to those that serve/served and an additional thank you to those who were wounded or gave their life for this country. :thumb:
Yes it does mean a lot to all of us when i got back it was not what i hope it would be. people just did not like us but know things are better i have had some asked me if i need help in my wheel chair or other things this is a lot better know then back when i came back . And the vets now need are help and kindness they are going through hell but i think things are a little better for them then it was for us . My son in-law gets to go over again and some of the stories he tells me are unreal . But we need these people to keep us safe from all the shit heads God bless them all :18: :18: :18: :18: and ill drink to that and them

Amen. And God bless our country and its troops. We are very fortunite to live in this FREE country.
Thanks to all who gave some, and some who gave all. Without the willingness of the warrior this great country would have never been, nor continue to be.
And to those who seek to diminish the sacrifice and gains made by our warriors past (you know who you are), to those who seek to strangle our freedom and circumvent our beloved constitution: A slow and painful death may you reap!
