Q:

Viking Bullpup homebuild

This is my new almost finished project. An ultra small bullpup, regulated, sidecocking and of course multishot in .22
The silencer will be shorther and thicker when it’s finished

Hi Huub, Thanks for the info,
Cheers :8:

thanks!

It’s a leapers bugbuster 6×32 scope, later on replaced for a accushot 3-12×42 also compact but with a better crosshair

Hi Huub,
Thats a lovely rifle and ultra-compact, what model is the scope, it suits it very well,
Thanks
Holdover

Dam nice work, I do not have patience for that type of work you did a great job.

Man, simply amazing 😉

Hi Terry,

I use several layers of polyesther spray filler used also for carpainting.
Do not forget the inside of the stock!

Another important thing for MDF is use high density mdf and not the cheap and light weight mdf.
When you want to screw something into the wood in the length direction, always drill and use 2 extra screws right angled to both sides of the hole. Mdf is stiff but can crack when you don’t do this.

hope you know what i mean, otherwile i’ll make a pic for you.

huub

What product do you recommend I use to seal the MDF with? Paint primer or something else.?
Thanks

very very nice work. proper craftmanship..

just goes to show what skills one has old boy. 😉 5 stars

Hi Terry,

I made several stocks from mdf, check my topic of the “Edsan bullpup”
The trick is to seal the stock right before painting

cheers huub

I am curious how the stock is holding up. It looks like MDF with bed liner spray. Sometimes MDF has a tendency to swell a bit from the humidity. It’s been a few months now, so if there are going to be problems, I figure they would have started to show by now. I hope all is well, I plan to use the same thing on a project I am working on.
Thanks, Terry

Hi Zocoloco

The ultra was mine, but yes, it has been visiting Norway for the sidecocking 🙂

I’ve watched Egon working on it and a lot of others. Fantastic improvement of the Ultra. I have one myself in .177. Egon is a true artist unfortunately locked up in a small market like Norway. But his one-offs are real masterpieces. I happen to have a few and the metal work is outstanding, – so is the accuracy…..

Watching Egon with his lathe is just like watching any other fine performing art… 😀

Here he is in action:

And with your own superb design, wood- and metalwork, that little “Viking” of yours would certainly stand out in any collection !

Congratulations……! 😀

@ Huub: Is this not the Ultra sidecocking ex my friend Egon ? 😀

very nice ,I really like the compactness of it.
