Vulcan 177 shooting string

Hehe, my cricket is 10j…
Sweden….
+1. And even in those countries with stupid limits 9 out of 10 owners run theirs in full tilt boogie anyway. Take Sweden ie : Here the limit for non FAC AG´s is 10J. All trim parts/full Power/FAC parts are sold legally. It gets illegal first when the owner Changes the restricted bits to these.
FX is a Swedish manufacturer and their guns sure work better at their intented/full Power than when squeezed down to 10J.
But producer of Vulcan is not Czech and his sells is oriented for different market as Czech/Slovak/Poland/UK etc where is 16J or less DE,HU as-well. His priory market is USA and country without that crazy air gun limits…
Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic anyone over age of 18 can acquire air gun with a muzzle energy not exceeding 16 joules (12 ft·lbf)
So you think they should know better about making a 16 Joules but they don’t.
Vulcan or Cricket were not been designed work sub 12flfbs without necessary changes. 😉
it needs some might say MAJOR WORK to it. some might say it is fuxing. well it is absolutely necessary.
out of box these beauties come with a power curve and a VERY BAD ONE to say at least.
something like ok power when your cylinder is 90bar, but when you fill to 200 power halves. if you think power is low at 200bar and adjust the hammer spring, power will drift up BAD ass at empty cylinder. which is not ideal.
thanks Hunter001 I am sure this will help some. it seems you are happy with the silencer adapter, must be good.
Not at all hard to digest. No wonder it doesn’t work well in 16J since it’s set and designed for full tilt.
And if you’d read my earlier comments you’d also know that i specifically pointed out the need to do things on ie UK import guns.
I have never said not to tune your Vulcan – far from it but i mean people seem to dive into things before the gun has even had a change to properly break in. Add to that those people who don’t really know what they’re doing and bad things will happen.
Stop twisting my words 😉
That wide body delrin spring guide is a supper good idea 💡
Is there any clearance conflict ❓
This is 12ftlb Vulcan and it came with short spring and metal spacer.
I have replaced the spacer and the brass spring guide with a custum made derlin with thick shoulder.
This reduced the hammer slap, made the gun more consistent. Small spring made gun cocking effortless.
And adding HW100 silence made it less pretty but very very quite.

That looks like a shorter hammer spring than in my 22. Is it stock that way or one you made?

Looks really good !
Just out of curiosity : Is “Vulvan” a new AGN modell mainly for Female shooters ??
:8:
