My cricket is also very accurate I would not to replace it too 😳

quote Zonk:

I can’t believe any other PCP can out shoot my .22 cricket. It’s damn near one hole at 50 yards. Like bckyrdsnpr said, I’d have to see it to believe it.

I could not agree more. My 22 cricket gives me 1/2 inch grouping at 100 yards. I will never replace it!
But now since I don’t have a 25 and want to get one, I am thinking Vulcan would be my 25 choice for something new and equally good!

Vulcan doesn’t have white line spacers !

Cricket does!

Vulcan wins 🙂

Yup one holer here one holer there. Come pictures proofs it’s more like 3 pellets wide. And hardly ever at a decent distance of 50 yards.

I believe that the accuracy would be a wash between the two guns. The real difference would be between the 25 cals. Cricket is just too heavy and long.

ive had plenty of no holers with my Edgun…

So, there are two categories:

Cricket – one holer
Vulcan – half holer
Matador – no holer

 New therminus technicus

Edit of table.

I also confirm the Cricket is the most accurate airgun I’ve ever shot but this doesn’t mean a more accurate won’t come around.

The Cricket is a “one holer”, probably a more accurate airgun will be a “half holer  “.

That is true 😉 cricket with good series of JSB pellet is same accurate as vulcan. Barrel is very similar and from same manufacturer. I doubt the manufacturer CZ UB doing other barrel for Cricket and other for Vulcan. If yes, with very small differences.

There are other things like accuracy difference for the Vulcan. Difference in the reloading of pellets and very well trigger setting. 😉

Comparing the Cricket and Vulcan, I choose the Cricket because of the magazine set up. I can reload 14 pellets in less than 10 seconds, load while the mag is in the breech and see how many pellets are in the magazine without taking it out. With the Cricket you can single load, can’t do that with the Vulcan. my Cricket is quieter and I think it is just as accurate as the Vulcan. I have over 36000 shots thru my Cricket and other than swapping o-rings on the reg twice, have had no issues. I can tear down and put back together in 30 min. Don’t know how difficult it is on the Vulcan. The Vulcan is better looking, but I grab my Cricket more often when I want to shoot. Those who think the Vulcan is more accurate, would have to out shoot me and my Cricket before I will believe that. The side cocking feature is not a deal breaker for me either. I am so used to my Crickets features, it does not Hinder me a bit. Also my Cricket is still very accurate off the regulator, the Vulcan changes point of impact dramatically off the reg, can’t explain why. So this is just my personal opinion, I’m sure many will argue about this.

I posted the ad, not the same one your talking about. It’s my second one. My first one was sent back and this is the replacement. Great pup, I just like everything about my Cricket better. Wanted to post hear but don’t qualify with enuff posts, kind of stupid rule, but nothing I can do about it.

bckyrdsnpr, let’s hear more about your comparison of these two pups. Your input is valued here.
