Vulcan .22 Regulator???
I have had my Vulcan for 3 weeks. I had shot my gun from 50 on out to 110 yards in increments of 10 yards. The accuracy was really good to 70 yards but after that it would get ugly. But I just figured it was because that was pushing it for the gun this is my first high end gun. I didn’t know what to expect from this gun but I had killed birds out to 100 yards shot sparrows out to 75 yards. This made me happy but a week ago I downloaded the chair gun app and loved the idea of having all my information graphed out and exact. So punched all my information and I hadn’t had a chrony yet so I asked the dealer what speeds I would be shooting 15.9 JSB’s. He said from 920 to 930 so I entered my FPS as 925 and went on to enter all the stats in. I checked and double checked everything it’s all right. Well the chair gun app was not matching up to what I was shooting real world. I wasn’t to happy about that it worried me that my gun wasn’t shooting right. So from then on I thought my gun was shooting slow so I backed my FPS down on the app till it would match what I’m shooting real world. Everything finally matched up when I set the app to 760 FPS. I was getting perturbed by this point so I went ahead and bought the 100 dollar Pro chrony and I was right the gun was shooting about a 30-40 FPS spread and hitting 760 FPS ish. Called the dealer had to send the gun back waiting to hear back. If anyone else has had this problem let me know. I read on another forum of this happening but couldn’t become a member to reply back.

Well my dealer said the when he was reworking the trigger and making the action shooter he accidentally put the wrong hammer spring in the gun
Regulator set wrong, light hammer spring? What’s this a hit or miss kind?

Don’t listen to Keyser he sniffs a half gram of lead dust daily. He owns or has owned most of the pups out there. What does he know.

I did adjust thE HST dialed it all the way in and it was shooting 760 to 780. You can only adjust it so much if you didn’t already know that. You can go up and down 50 to 60 FPS BUT NOT 180 200 FPS. My regulator Is set wrong this is what my dealer has told me. Waiting for his call to explain the issue fully.
First off for 100 yard plus shooting you need to shoot the 18.1 JSB. The 15.89 are too light for consistent long range performance. The second problem is your HST is set too light for the factory regulator setting. Pushing the 15.89 at the mid 700 FPS range is not producing a harmony between the HST and regulator. Your gun is set to shoot the 18.1 at around 920 FPS give or take. You can adjust it between 880 and 930 with perfect accuracy. I recommend 920 fps with the 18.1 for 100 yards or more.
Why didn’t you just adjust the HST? Couple of turns and you’re all set? I’m new to all this PCP-stuff, but that’s how I set mine up.
