Q:

Vulcan .25 barrel screw size

I have one out of the four barrel screws on my Vulcan that is striped and before I take it out I need to get a
replacement screw . My operations manual only gives the side plate screw size and not the size for the four
barrel screws under the side plate . All I know is that they are M3 , M3x? is what I do not know . Anyone out
there know the size and where to buy replacement screws ? I guess it would be smart to have extras on hand .

THANK YOU , FROM : THE BIRDMAN

Got very lucky , had to leave the house and every thing . Winds did a big reverse and burned back onto it self .
Not good news for those who already got struck . For all of the 25 hundred homes in my area by the grace of
GOD we were spared . If the 40 mph winds had not change directions our whole area would have been toast .
It was really that close to total property and life endangerment . Our hearts are both grateful for being spared
and we fill so sorry for those who have lost love ones as well as every thing they owned . 20 million are still at
risk in the wild fires that engulfed the state of California . For the moment be happy that you live in an area
that has not been struct with such disaster . May GOD’s blessing be with each and everyone of you .

good luck.

i am sure you can reverse drill it out, if not then just drill it until it loses its head, then you can replace it.

That’s a shocker BirdMan ….. 😥 …… I will be hoping and praying Mother Nature blows clear and rains heavy Sir !

GKU , thank you for your input , I have the iron and will give it a try if I still have a home to return to . I live in Cal.
and as right now the Napa Valley Fire has traveled 57 miles to my area and my home is in danger so my wife and I
have taken all things that are of most importance and had to evacuate . My airguns had to stay with the house , as
well as my $42 K boat . All are insured and replaceable .

Thank you to all who responded to my post , if the house burns it will be a long time before I will be able to
return to the TAG . Again THANK YOU and may GOD be with you all .

Empty the AT if you haven’t already and heat up the screw head with a pencil sordering gun can help.

Kris , I will need a new screw , the bad screw has a strip head and is stuck solid in place , I will have to try removing it
with a speed out screw extractor .

you dont need a screw. just a standard M4 nut.

.

M4x16
Could it be that the nut threaded end is the culprit ?
