Looks like a older Leupold to me.
I agree with the 20 MOA mount. I went with the Warne X-Skel since they’re made here in the NW and the price was right. Quality mount and its working out good. The NF and Am. Defense are good choices and you might want to look at Aadland also.
its a leo 4x and the mounts where what was on it …. i’ve never been a scope man shot all my life with iron sights so don’t have any this one i had on a old rifle some one gave me …. i’m looking for the scope i want as soon as i figure out what i want …
What you guys need is a mount with MOA added to the unibody. American defense and Nightforce both make unimounts with 20 MOA added to the mount. Then you won’t have to worry about how low the mount is.
first I also started with a very low scope mount, helps a bit with near targets and holdover.
but later ended up with a bit of higher mounts.
so I don’t have to bend my neck that much and the butt stock is sitting lower on my shoulder. with the low scope mount I had to hold the gun really high on the shoulder.
still thinking about adding some rubber boot or so and returning to the low mounts.
