Vulcan chrono test
Ran a string this weekend, look like I currently am set at 890fps with the JSB kings 25.39
The max spread was 11FPS
I would like to get just a little more out of it, what can I expect to get out of it?

I probably have about 450 pellets through the barrel so far.
Accuracy is VERY important to me, so I am thinking about 900-920FPS is the goal.
I have a Theoben Rapid .25 shooting 31 H&N’s at 915, giving me 57fpe when I need the extra.

By adjusting the regulator I have gotten up to 960 FPS with the Vulcan. The gun is most accurate between 880-920. The shot count, noise and efficiency is best in the vulcan between 900-890. The important thing to remember is accuracy is more important than 6 foot pounds. Fine tune your HST with the current regulator setting. Find the setting that gives you a straight drop off when the gun is off the regulator. With the vulcan you can expect a 4-10 FPS ES in .25.

I ran a string Sunday 4 clips 36 shots: AVG 887 FPS with JSB Kings 25 grain, temp was 57 degrees, baro 26.8, humidity 58%. Later on that day I shot 18 more thru the chronograph and FPS went up too 894 with the temp @ 65 degrees. I turned down the Hammer spring tensioner down 2 weeks ago, because when it came it was shooting Kings @ 918 and I turned it down to 900-906 but didn’t’ take into consideration the temperature which makes a big difference. Vulcan Tactic 25 Cal.
How many pellets did you shoot out through the barrel?

I have asked because you have new gun and is necessary to shoot more than 450pellets. I prefer 2000+ pellets through the barrel and then measure the velocity and make some serious testing otherwise it is waste of time :o) Every gun needs to be settle down regulator mechanical parts like hammer, spring also barrel need to be cleaned more often…
