I just returned from the bank, where they charge $50.00 USD to complete a wire transfer. As nice as this modification might be, I found it unpalatable to pay 46% of the items cost (not including shipping) simply to make payment.
Hopefully Evgeny will find a cost effective way to accept payments. Until that time, I can’t justify the expense.
I posted to the other thread, but I send Evgeny an email last night and had a return email this morning with instructions on what to do… I sent him my shipping details. He is supposed to send my an invoice to pay against with the wire transfer… His reply to me was the $110 USD was total cost (plus of course the transfer fee). He did not mention any additional cost for shipping/duty/tax or whatever…
However Tony, if you can make a bulk purchase, a decent mark up for you and we can paypal you our money, I’d be in for that too! Keep us posted!

A bulk purchase accomplishes two things….lowers shipping cost per unit, and requires only one International Wire Money Transfer service to move the purchase money. I don’t believe the bank determines charges on how much is sent, rather they want to recoup the International Wire Money Transfer fee they incur. (Check the individual bank’s policy first!)
There’s two ways to accomplish this…a dealer does it, with a reasonable profit margin added for his trouble, or a forum member volunteers to manage a “group buy”, and have the bulk purchase package sent to him, and he re-mails them to the individual buyers.
Or…buy Brazil!

Ok. For us we know the price is $110 US plus shipping. Where is Tony? Wonder what his price would be? What is a fair markup?

Here’s the problem…EU residents can send a wire transfer from bank to bank withing the ET. It’s not expensive because it’s on the same continent. Kind of like us buying parts from California and ordering from New Mexico.
However, in the U.S., and other “foreign” nations, non-EU members, an “International Wire Transfer” is required, and that costs a LOT more than transactions within the EU.
Solution: Either Evgeny can send his parts to his U.S. and other non-EU dealers for re-sale locally with no need for international fee transfers, we can buy from the guy in Brazil, or you can have a forum member who lives within the EU to purchase the kit locally and mail it to us…with us using Paypal to reimburse him.
That’s the deal.
Is Evgeny willing to stock up a U.S. dealer to move his parts? The Brazilian option is a very real competitor and he needs to either meet the parts need or lose business.
Consider if you need a replacement repair part, a rod, a special spring, a minor item…as of today there is no source of parts. We could end up paying $40 to $75 transfer fees to buy a $2.00 spring! A dealer needs to step up and provide a parts availability solution, otherwise Vulcan sales can suffer the consequences. Hopefully, said dealer will not gouge the buyer with a jacked-up price as a result of this situation.

Tony, if you’re able to get a bulk purchase going, sign me up. I would much rather pay you so you can get some profit versus the bank and their crazy fees.
