Q:

Vulcan Pellet choices

I recently bought a new Vulcan .22 gen4 with a hugget moderator. I am really impressed by the build quality and it has already smacked some game.
Regarding pellets obviously AA and JSB are going to be best, but what have you experienced regarding skirt thickness? Which are more accurate between thick and thin skirt JSB/AA pellets?
Obviously testing both out in my gun would be bettrr, but interested to hear your finding.
Cheers from South Africa
David

Hello David, I’ve tried both AA and JSBs. AA in 16 gr and JSB in 18 gr. In my .22 nothing shoots better then JSB 18 gr. Now on the other hand Sir Ville claims his shoots better with AAs. As you mentioned it’s best to try both. The more I shoot mine the more accurate it seems to get. I have never tested skirt thickness on any pellet. The only thing I look for is if the skirt is deformed.
